The reliable Realist, George Friedman of Stratfor.com, offers the following analyses. The first
is from April 2011, on Humanitarian Interventions as the operation in Libya was just getting started. The second is from today, Oct. 25, 2011, not surprising a rather pessimistic look at the conduct and likely aftermath of NATO's Libyan adventure, with some inferred insight from U.S. experiences in the immediate post-Saddam years. Indeed, he goes as far as to directly compare the violence in Sirte, Libya with that of Fallujah, Iraq.
